Rejuvenation Procedures

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMAIt consists of a group of specific procedures, associated or not, and suitable for each skin type and in accordance to the issues presented by the patient. The treatment should be led by an honest, qualified professional, after careful analysis of the case, always taking into account the expectation of each patient. In facial rejuvenation procedures, the following concepts are used:

1 – Renewal: We use physical and chemical peelings (facial and body); laser treatments; carboxitherapy and mesotherapy; facial masks, skin cleansing and hydration.

2 – Filling in:. The elements used for filling are compatible with the patient’s organism and they also allow corrections and balance features for facial and body harmony. It can be used in the lips, nose, chin, certain wrinkles, scars and others. Under that concept, we included the fillings, the bioplasty and the liposculpture.

3 – Paralyzation: For that procedure, the botulinum toxin is used (Botox®) in the treatment of the expression wrinkles, specifically paralyzing certain muscular fibers responsible for the undesirable wrinkles.

4 – Restructuration: We use a variety of techniques, in addition to the beginning-assets, to stimulate the formation and restructuring of skin extra-cellular core, treating furrows, folds, wrinkles, cellulite, and fatty tissues.

Bioplasty

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMABioplasty is considered by the medical class the plastic surgery of the third millennium. It is performed without cuts and traumas. It is a fast procedure destined to the enhancement, rejuvenation (facial and body) and correction of some imperfections.
Through bioplasty, it is possible to reshape facial contours, due to loss of extra-cellular substances that happen with aging and that appear under the form of flabbiness, wrinkles and deep furrows. With the technique of bioplasty, we can fill depressions, increase the volume of the lips, reshape the nose (correction of the back and rising of the tip), enhance the malar (cheekbone), reshape the chin, reestablish the angle of the jaw (define the facial contour better) and correct some undesired scars.
Bioplasty requires just local anesthesia and the result is observed immediately after the end of the applications.
The recovery is fast, without the need to avoid daily routine, following the current trend of medicine without pain and trauma. At last, bioplasty comes to Aesthetic Medicine to beautify, to rejuvenate, to enhance and to correct some undesirable anatomical defects in the face and in some parts of the body.

It is fundamental that the bioplasty is performed by qualified doctors and with appropriate materials.

Botox®

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMAIt is a toxin used for the treatment of facial expression (wrinkles) acquired with aging. When applied in the appropriate amount and by qualified professionals, the toxin inhibits facial muscles that cause the expression wrinkles, and the result is a younger and healthy appearance, without losing the facial naturalness. The application, which demands deep knowledge of anatomy of the face, is performed with an extremely small and fine needle, causing minimal discomfort. Its effect persists for up to 6 months, when then it can be reapplied.

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMA The use of the botulinum toxin in general doesn't interfere in other aesthetic procedures. In other words, it can be associated, in accordance with the medical evaluation of each patient, to other treatments as bioplasty, carboxitherapy, intradermotherapy and filling, still generating great satisfaction.

Filling

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMAIt is the correction of small depression areas in the face through the injection of bio-compatibles materials (transmitted in the gel form), that are introduced through sterile stems (to avoid discomfort and complications).
This procedure is indicated to fill out the furrow nasolabial, vertical lip lines (Chinese mustache), lips and some scars, besides acne scars.
A sterile bio-compatible substance, called polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA), is injected in specific anatomical areas through sterilized stems, especially projected to avoid lesions of nerves or blood vessels. The procedure in itself resembles that of a sculptor's artistic work, shaping and enhancing the details of the face which provide harmony and beauty. The result is a considerable improvement of the appearance, according to western beauty patterns, carefully studied and developed by the aesthetic doctors that perform this procedure.

Peeling

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMASeveral peeling types exist. Among them are the physicists (laser), mechanics (abrasion and microdermoabrasion), chemical (that vary of very superficial to deep) and still the combined peelings.
The main function of that procedure is to rescue the process of cellular renewal, through exfoliation of the layers that compose the skin, invigorating and restoration all of its original characteristics.
The peelings, when suitable, promote the elimination of the old components of the skin (in adult or smaller intensity), stimulating its replacement for new recently-produced components. With that, there is a cellular and molecular renewal, improving blood circulation and stimulating the cells (fibroblasts) for production of collagen. That way, shine, color, texture, youthfulness and the beauty of the skin is restored.
It is very important that the peelings are chosen adequately by qualified doctors, after meticulous evaluation and classification of the skin, of the affections and present pigmentations, of the photo-types and reports of allergic processes; in other words, the clinical history. Those observations are fundamental for the accomplishment of that procedure, with objective of guaranteeing safety and excellent results in the aesthetic treatment.

Carboxitherapy

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMAIt is a safe procedure, of easy execution and with proven effectiveness in the prevention and treatment for flabbiness, located fatty tissues, cellulite and post-operative of liposuction. It is a technique of application of CO2 (carbon dioxide) in the subcutaneous cellular tissue. It is indicated in the treatment of cellulite, because the metabolic activity of the greasy fabric is controlled, among other things, by the blood flow. Carboxitherapy then, increases in up to 20 times the blood flow in the subcutaneous greasy tissue, promoting the break of fat in an efficient way. It does not present any toxicity because that gas is produced continually by the human organism in the amount of 200 ml per minute (when we are in rest), and under intense physical activity, that production can increase substantially.

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMATo reach satisfactory results and to execute the procedure correctly, it is extremely necessary to guarantee the quality and the purity of the injected gas, a soft and controlled flow, and a safe and reliable filtering system. The patient is entitled to know the origin and the quality of the gas used by the clinic. The procedure should be performed exclusively by qualified doctors and after the patient's careful evaluation.
The treatment includes from 10 to 20 sessions (1 to 2 times a week), with 30 minutes of duration, depending on the indication. The carboxitherapy can also be indicated in association the other treatments as: the hydroliposuction, lymphatic drainage, intradermotherapy (for flabbiness, localized fatty tissues and cellulite).

Intradermotherapy

It is an aesthetic treatment which induces tissue revitalization, by the local injection of small quantities of some essential substances for the nutrition of the tissue, leading to an increase in skin rigidity. The result is a clear reduction of the flaccidity and roughness of the treated area, slowing down the signs of skin ageing. The procedure is usually done once a week, in a total of 10 sections.

Intradermotherapy is of great importance to Aesthetic Medicine and it is indicated to fight against flaccidity in the anterior part of the neck, face and internal part of the arms, thigh and abdomen. It can be employed alone or associated with other aesthetic treatments, such as carboxitherapy, (mesocarboxy) and lymphatic drainage, always in combination with adequate nutritional orientation and physical exercises.

Ultrasonic Hydrolipoclasy

It is one of the aesthetic treatments that offer best results in the treatment of the localized fatty tissues. It consists of injections of physiologic serum in the cellular subcutaneous tissue, where the fatty cells accumulate. Due to osmotic difference, the injected serum is immediately transferred to the interior of greasy cells, making them swell and stretch the thinned cellular membrane.
We proceed then, to the local application of ultrasound which provides waves of mechanical vibration of high frequency, breaking up the greasy cells. Through the lymphatic drainage its contents are eliminated in a large part from the body.
The procedure is fast. It should be performed once a week, and reevaluated after the fifth application. It is performed under local anesthesia and there is no need to avoid daily routine.

Lymphatic drainage

Lymphatic drainage consists of a technique that can be essentially manual or performed with apparels. This procedure promotes the drainage of extra-cellular liquid and toxins accumulated in several parts of the body.

The liquid retention in the fabrics is caused by several factors such as poor diet and inactivity and results in increase of the corporal mass, volume increase of some areas of the body and poor tissue nutrition, favoring the occurrence of skin flabbiness and cellulite. Lymphatic drainage then redirects the retained liquids in the tissues to the lymphatic vases in each area of the body, helping to define the corporal contours, to reduce measures and to eliminate toxins from the organism.

In the post-operative of several surgical procedures, such as liposuction, lymphatic drainage is also fundamental to help in the removal of liquid accumulated as a result of the surgical inflammatory process, providing faster, calmer and less painful recovery.
The technique consists of a soft massage performed with the hands or equipments, impelling excess liquid to the lymphatic circulation. In general, the lymphatic drainage performed with the hands is the most recommended and effective.

We remind that moderate to severe retention of liquids can require investigation concerning the presence of cardiovascular, renal or endocrinal alterations. The CLIMMA team is perfectly qualified to identify such occurrences and to supply the appropriate orientation and care.

Ultrasound

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMAThey are sound waves emitted in continuous form or pulsed, through micro-controled digital apparel. The apparels used in aesthetic medicine are the ones presenting 3 MHZ frequency. The ultrasound is recommended in the following cases: to break up nodules (cellulite or post-surgical), break up located fatty tissues, in the pre and post-operative of plastic surgery and in support to hydrolipoclasy.

The sound waves of 3 MHz reach a depth of 1,5 cm below the skin; that way, the sound vibrations reach the fatty fabric without crossing over to the muscular layer. The ultrasound of 1 MHz of frequency is used in physiotherapy in the treatment of muscular pains since its sound waves reach the depth of 4 cm below the skin.
The mechanical effect of the ultrasound consists of the compression and decompression produced by the sound waves causing an oscillatory movement of intra and extra-cellular particles (a “micro-cellular massage” of sorts). The increase of molecular agitation provokes an increase in the permeability of the cellular membrane, favoring the exchange of fluids between intra and extra-cellular means.

The thermal effect of the ultrasound is produced when the mechanical energy becomes thermal energy (heat generated by the shock among the molecules that are in intense movement). The temperature increase induces a vasodilation, improving the local blood irrigation and stimulates the cellular energy metabolism.

Endermology

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMA It is a non-invasive aesthetic treatment that combines massage with vacuum therapy. It is performed through electro-suction apparels endowed with ferrules. It consists basically of local massage alternated with suction and rolling movements. It is excellent in the treatment of the cellulite since it helps to loosen and break fibrosis bridges of the connective tissue.

It is painless and the massage and suction movements associated stimulate blood and lymphatic circulation. It should be performed twice a week in a total of ten sessions. It acts in tissue toning and revitalization, and clears skin interstice. Besides the cellulite, it is also indicated in located fatty tissues, pre and certain post-operative plastic surgeries, deep scars and adherences.

Dermopigmentation

Estética e Medicina - CLIMMAAlso known as definitive make-up, it is an embellishment technique that came to improve beauty lines in the face, enhancing eyebrows, contour of the eyes and lips. Very effective for the correction of flaws in the brows and even small alopecia areas (hair fall). It is also used to enhance the tonality of the mammary areola (after mammoplasty), camouflage of scars and pigmentation of hypochromic areas (including vitiligo).
